What Are Private Label Rights?

July 6, 2009 // Posted in Blog, private label rights

Private Label Rights basically give you the right to do whatever you like with a product, as if you had created it.  You get to keep 100% of the profits when you sell it.

There are different degrees of PLR rights.  Always check the license to make sure exactly what you can do with the PLR rights product that you purchase.  PLR rights usually give you right of authorship; that is you can put your name on the product.  You can also change the product – edit it, customize it and make it different from the original product.

Sometimes you may be able to pass on those same rights to your customer, so that your customer can also have PLR rights. Sometimes you can only pass more limited rights, such as Master Resale Rights or Resale Rights, which do not allow them to change the product.  With Master Resale Rights they can sell the product and also their customers can sell the product; with Resale Rights, they can only sell the product without passing any rights to their buyer.

The correct way to use a product with private label rights is to change it and make it a new product, different from the one that you purchased.

It is a very easy way to have your own product, as the major work has been done for you.

Here is a great membership site that gives you 7 private label rights products every month, plus your own website.  This is a great opportunity to have 7 fresh products every month which you can sell for 100% profit.
