Building Websites

June 25, 2009 // Posted in Blog, make money online (Tags: , ) |  No Comments

Since I am in Internet Marketing I have learned to do a lot of things to maintain a website and sell products.  There are many software tools which are very useful and necessary.

One of the first things I acquired was an autoresponder, which is a service which you set up to send automated email messages to your list.  I soon learned how to create different lists.  I created web forms, and transferred the HTML code to my website where people sign up.  Then I also redirect the list to the specified download page or confirmation page, where my customers receive their products or services acquired.  I use Aweber for my autoresponder, which is very highly recommended.

I also learned how to create and edit web pages with an HTML editor.  The HTML editor is the software that allows you to make changes on the templates to create websites.  You make changes by editing with the visual editor as well as changing the HTML code with the code editor.  Some knowledge of HTML is very helpful, so I also educated myself in HTML code.

I learned how to use an FTP program, to put my web pages on the Internet.  When you buy a domain, your host company gives you a username and password.  You use this to load your domains to your FTP program and then you are able to upload your websites under your different domain names.

All this was a whole education in itself.  Since it was necessary for me to create my own websites, I took a course which taught me step by step how to do all this.  I learned all the techie stuff.  Many times I got stuck.  I had to learn how to upload files and folders in the right manner and follow the paths in order to link my products up correctly.  This was the most difficult part for me.

It is really necessary to learn how to make your own websites if you are an Internet marketer.  However, if the techie stuff is too hard for you, there is a piece of software that builds your websites very easily, no hard work involved.  It even has a function to FTP your websites as well.  So this whole process is solved with this incredible software.  This is really a great answer if you don’t think you can deal with all the techie hard stuff.  Click here to check it out…

Learn to Create Your Own Product

June 22, 2009 // Posted in Blog, product creation (Tags: , , , , ) |  No Comments

When you are new in internet marketing you need to find someone who will guide you and help you along to find your way.  There is so much to learn in internet marketing and so many different roads to take that it is overwhelming to a beginner.  It can become very confusing to try to figure out what you are supposed to be doing next, and how to get there.  So find someone you think has good information and follow them and learn whatever they can teach you.

After a while, you might find that there are different interests that you want to pursue and you might find someone else you can learn from.  Try to learn the basics, so you have a foundation.

There are certain things I have found to be very basic to internet marketing.  You need to know how to make your own product.  When you create a product you have to use many different tools and learn how to set up websites on the internet, use HTML editor, use FTP, autoresponders, etc.  And you learn how to connect everything together.  This knowledge is priceless to an internet marketer, and if you plan on sticking around, you must learn this.  Even if you are only going to do affiliate marketing, you need to know the ins and outs of product creation, because it gives you the basis and insight of internet marketing.

Soon after I started in internet marketing, I realized this.  So I took a course with Liz Tomey which taught me step by step how to make my own products.  I had never even heard of an HTML editor before, so it was like Chinese to me.  But with her help and her instructions, in two weeks I had created my first product.  It was such a great feeling!

I got stuck many times and struggled through it.  But this is the best way to learn.  You are going to get stuck and it might take you a while to figure things out, but this is the way you learn.  I learned so much creating my first product.  And now I learn every time I create a new product, and it takes me less time.  I get somewhat stuck sometimes, but it goes a lot faster, and I usually now know where to look for the solution.

I have been working hard the past couple of days getting together two products for a giveaway event.  Giveaway events provide an opportunity for newbies  and anyone else who is interested to provide their products for free and in turn get people to sign up to their lists.  This is a great way to build your list.  So I put together two products in two days.  Now, that’s a lot better than my first product which took me two weeks.  This giveaway event is called Free Offer Giveaway, which starts June 26, and you can visit it through this link.

So if you want to learn to make your own product I am going to suggest the course that I took from Liz Tomey – The Lost Reseller Scrolls.  It is the best course around, because she really gives it to you step by step on videos.  You watch her as she does everything on her computer, from start to finish.  I don’t think anybody else has videos this explicit, so it is totally worth it.

Create Your Own Product with Private Label Rights

June 21, 2009 // Posted in Blog, private label rights (Tags: , , , , ) |  No Comments

The easiest way to create your own product is by acquiring private label rights to a product that has already been created. Now all you have to do is to customize it and make changes to make it unique and make it your own.

For instance, you take an ebook with private label rights and you always get the source document. First of all you read it to make sure it is well written, and change the wording wherever appropriate and add and delete in the different sections. You can look up articles regarding this subject and get more ideas to insert into your ebook. You also change the formatting and make it look nice. You will need to make a new table of contents reflecting your changes.

Then you can insert your affiliate links in a resource section at the end of the book. This way you are promoting your affiliate products to make commissions. Also go to Clickbank or Paydotcom.com and find other products that are relevant to the subject of the ebook and recommend those products at the end, also with your affiliate links.

If you get a video product with private label rights you can also customize it. You will get the .avi file which you can edit. Go to Camtasia Studio and edit the video. You can also use less expensive software, such as Windows Movie Maker or Premiere. You can insert intro and exit screens. You can add music to it. This way it becomes your creation.

You can also get private label rights with software. In this case you can only usually change the graphics, unless you know how to customize the software itself and want to do that.

In any case, you should always order new graphics to make your products stand out. You don’t want to sell them with the same graphics that they had when you bought them, or else they would look just like the ones you bought from your seller.

Of course, you always have to have a salesletter to promote your product. Copywriting is an art in itself. You should try to find products that bring salesletters, so that this is done for you and you are not forced to write one. You can also make some changes to the salesletter, and of course personalize it with your name, contact info, etc.

So with a few tweaks you can turn a product with private label rights into own product and put your name on it. This way you have a product that you can sell for 100% of the profit.

A great source for private label rights ebooks is PlatinumPLR. This is a membership site that puts out a new internet marketing niche related ebook every month, together with a professionally written salespage, download page, and even bonuses.

PLRWholesaler.com Review

June 18, 2009 // Posted in private label rights, review (Tags: , , , ) |  No Comments

I love Private Label Rights (PLR) content. I used to think that it was only for lazy people who didn’t want to do their own writing. But as I learn more, I’ve come up with lots of great ways I can use PLR in my own business.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, PLR is content that you get from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to sell or give away!

The first couple of products I created using PLR only took me about half an hour. There have been a few sales so far from them so that was definitely time well spent.

When searching for PLR content to use, I found there were a lot of different types of sites available. Some offered monthly memberships and others offered just one time purchases. So be sure to look around before you decide where to buy.

The site I found that was by far the best was PLRWholesaler. Not only do they have an unbelievable amount of content, but it’s completely FREE. Most sites charge an arm and a leg for the amount of content that this guy is giving away.

And although I haven’t been through everything yet, what I have read is very good quality. It’s stuff you would actually want to use as your own.

Since it’s free, I highly recommend that you check out PLRWholesaler and see if they have anything that you can use in your business. There just may be an ebook or audio recording that you could quickly brand with your information and start selling to your list.

Excerpt from Outsource Weekly

June 17, 2009 // Posted in excerpt, make money online (Tags: , , , ) |  No Comments

There is a lot to running an online business.  Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming and we really need to ask for help.  We can’t do everything there is to do to run out business successfully.

Most successful entrepreneurs outsource.  They hire people to help them with ongoing tasks.  But there are also free ways to get this type of help.

I wasn’t aware of this either until I checked out Outsource Weekly from Jimmy D. Brown and Nicole Dean.

If you have not had a chance to check it out, here is an excerpt:

After you read this excerpt, be sure to check out the full course. They pretty much cover all aspects of an online business – what the task is, if you need to do it for YOUR type of business, if it can be automated instead of outsourced, and, if you do need to outsource it, who to go to.

Outsource Weekly Excerpt

by Nicole Dean

If there was one thing I’d go back and outsource sooner, it would be my customer support and my email.

Why? For a number of reasons…

Benefit #1: It takes a LOT less time now than I ever spent.

I’ve never been accused of being aloof, so I’ll tell you like it is.

This is embarrassing, but oh well.

I have “shiny object syndrome”. In fact, I think that most internet marketers have a bit of ADD where any shiny object pulls your attention away from the thing that you’re doing.

Emails, instant messenger, a new product that’s launching that everyone’s talking about, a cool website, phone, twitter, “ooh a new friend found me on facebook…” etc.

“What was I working on again?”

When I was answering my own emails, I’d run off to investigate the answers or find out more about the topic, click through on the links that were sent to me, or just plain old get sidetracked and head off to work on more pressing matters.

I’d get shiny object syndrome and spend an hour answering an email and come back and go “oops, I never responded” because I’d run off in 100 different directions between opening the email and hitting send.

So, when I finally outsourced my emails, I was quite embarrassed to see that the virtual assistants were only spending 15 minutes/day on something that was taking me a lot more time.

Benefit #2: It keeps me more positive.

You know the story. You get one crabby person who is just downright mean, for no reason at all. Well, some people can let that roll off their backs, but, when it’s your business that they’re talking about, it can feel awfully personal in a hurry.

My poor hubby had to dry some tears after one particularly horrid woman came after me, repeatedly being mean. And, she wasn’t even a customer! ((shudder))

Benefit #3: You’re Going to Have to Do It Eventually. The Sooner you Do It, the Easier the Transition Is.

Anyway, I’d held off outsourcing my emails for a long time, because I couldn’t believe that anyone would take as good of care of my customers, loyal readers, and JV requests as I possibly could.

That was until I realized that Bill Gates doesn’t answer customer questions.

Hmmm…

So, in essence, I was again punishing myself for success. The BIGGER my business grew, the more emails I’d get – the more miserable I was and the more I was stuck on my bottom, working many more hours than I’d cared to.

Success had again become a punishment for me.

This course is the perfect starting point for any beginner. You see, Nicole & Jimmy have this thing called “integrity” that has caused Nicole to pour a lot more into this course than she ever imagined. When interviewed recently, she stated “I can not teach people how to Outsource a task until they understand 1. if they need to be doing it, and 2. how it should be done effectively. Otherwise, they’re just throwing money away.”

Why Private Label Rights?

June 17, 2009 // Posted in Blog, private label rights (Tags: , , ) |  No Comments

Private Label Rights is really the answer to having your own product. With private label rights you can create your own product from the source file to a product that has already been created and you can call it your own. You can do many different things to the content – edit it, add to it, create new graphics, customize the salespage, or reformat the entire product.

You can then take the product and resell it, include it in other packages, bundle it, offer it on membership sites.

You can take the content and break it up to use it as your own to write articles, ebooks, reports, etc.

Always read the license to make certain of the exact rights that you have. For example, you may be able to transfer private label rights to your customers, or they may be non-transferable.

That is, unless otherwise stated in the license, you could sell that product along with the resell rights for a higher price. So that would allow your customer to sell it to someone else and make it more valuable.

With private label rights you get the most latitude of what you can do to your product with full editing control. For this reason, they are usually more expensive than other rights.

Check out this great private label rights offer.

Membership Sites on the Internet

June 17, 2009 // Posted in Blog, membership sites (Tags: , ) |  No Comments

Membership sites are becoming more and more popular on the Internet. It is a great business since it provides a steady income through membership subscriptions. In addition, you can also have many different kinds of ads relevant to the theme of your membership site, and make affiliate commissions through these ads.

In order to have a successful membership site it must be specialized in a certain niche. You should choose a niche that you are passionate about and believe in strongly. You will need to provide information that is interesting and useful enough for people to pay to have this information. You can set up a schedule such as publish a newsletter either daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly. Weekly or biweekly are the two best options – daily is too much for your readers, and once a month is too little contact to keep an interested person subscribed.

There are many membership scripts available which you can install to run your membership site. Basically, depending upon the script that you choose, you can program it to run your membership pretty much hands off, while your main job is to constantly be providing good content to your members.

Of course, you have to market your site and bring in the members. If you already have a list, this is a good place to start promoting. You can also join forums and networking sites where you can join in and add to discussions and be helpful. Just show your signature link in the signature box, and this way people will get to know you and trust you. This will most likely bring them to your website. Of course, there is article marketing and ezine ads, and many other ways of creating traffic to your website.

It is very important to stay very close to your membership site with up to date content. Always think of adding new and relevant items that your membership will find of interest. Grow with it, give it life! Make sure that your subscribers are always anticipating their next newsletter. Always be on the lookout to find new and innovative ways to make it better.

Interact with your subscribers. Ask what they would like to see. Let them suggest subjects of interest within your niche. Get constructive member input and apply their suggestions.

So a membership site is really a good model for an internet business. However, it is a business that will require a lot of work and dedication. It is not a business that you will build overnight, or expect to get rich from quickly. If you have patience, passion and the right mindset it is very likely you will succeed.

I have found a membership offer where they actually do all the work for you.  Everything is set up for you and they take care of all the sales as well. They provide the website, the installation, the content.  It is really an incredible offer.  You won’t find this anywhere else.  Click here and you can have your own membership site up and running in a couple of hours.

How to Make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Products by Jimmy D. Brown

How to Make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Products

By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”

…………………….

There must be a reason why some affiliates succeed and some
fail, a reason why some affiliates profit moderately and some
affiliates profit substantially.

There must be a reason.

There is.

And that reason is this:  “super” affiliates start, sustain and
strengthen relationships with subscribers.

It begins and ends with a list.  Even a small one can be a
powerful, profitable mechanism if you follow these 7
guidelines…

1. CAPTURE THE OPTIN FIRST.

Instead of sending traffic directly to your affiliate link,
send them to YOUR site where you offer some kind of list for
them to join.  (Hint:  Mini-course works best)  Once you have
them on a list, they become an asset.  If you send them directly
to an affiliate page and they don’t buy,  they’re gone forever.
On your list, you can follow-up  with them
indefinitely.

Note:  You can even redirect them to your affiliate link AFTER
they join your list, effectively getting them where you wanted
them to go in the first place.

2. DIFFERENTIATE THE OFFER.

Instead of sending out the same, tired, lame advertisement that
every other affiliate in the world sends out, write your own.
Trust me when I say that many people find it  OFFENSIVE when
they receive two dozens duplicate emails from two dozen list
owners all promoting the exact same thing in the exact same way.
And even if they don’t find it offensive, it’s not as effective
if you simply rinse and repeat what everyone else is doing.

Hint:  Here’s how you differentiate…

3. SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.

Nothing – nothing – nothing speaks louder than RESULTS.  If you
want to lose a few pounds, who do you turn to?  Someone  who is
still struggling with their own weight or someone you’ve seen
drop 35 pounds?  Exactly.

The way you make your mailings / ads different is you speak
from your own personal experience.  This product or service that
you are promoting as an affiliate, how has it been useful to you
personally?  What results have you personally achieved? When you
used it, what happened?

Note:  If you haven’t personally used the product, then shame
on you for trying to make a quick buck from it hocking it to
others!

4. OFFER A COMPELLING INCENTIVE.

Another way to be different – and to dramatically increase your
chances of getting a sale as an affiliate – is to offer some
kind of compelling incentive if someone buys the offer through
YOUR referral link.  Whether it’s a special report or access to
an audio recording, personalized consultation or advertising, a
private training call or existing products and services, this
can be a highly effective method of converting fence-setters
into paying customers.

In order for it to work well, it must be UNIQUE (I.E.  You’re
the only one making the offer) and USEFUL (I.E.  Something of
great perceived value to the reader).

Note:  Don’t have anything to offer?  Don’t worry!  There are
many ways to easily obtain extra incentives:  conduct an
interview, hire a ghostwriter to create articles / reports for
you, buy reprint rights to other products, assemble a bunch of
free articles and other resources into a private access site,
etc.

5. LOOK FOR RESIDUAL OPPORTUNITIES.

Rather than exhaust your efforts on purchases that give you a
one-time commission, why not make the most of your marketing by
looking firstly for offers that pay out ONGOING monthly
commissions for your referred sales?

There are many different residual income generating services
such as membership sites (ranging from PT Cruisers to weight
loss), stock photos and clipart, hosting, autoresponders,
databases (from hiking trails to sermon outlines) online
magazines and a variety of other subscription based
opportunities that reward you with monthly recurring commissions.

While you definitely want a mix of types of affiliate programs
to promote, your priority should be in identifying and promoting
those services and programs that will pay you month after month,
instead of only one time.

6. BUILD A SALES ARMY.

One of the biggest untapped sources of income in any list is
that of “turning subscribers into partners”.  In other words,
find those on your list who are interested in making money and
provide them with training and materials to promote affiliate
programs as well.

This has a two-fold advantage for YOU:

* First, if you find 2-tier affiliate programs, you can get
your subscribers to join the program through your referral.
Anytime they get a sale, you’ll earn a commission as well.  You
effectively get free commissions from their effort.

* Secondly, you can use their efforts to build your own assets.
For example:  If you provide them with a 10-page report to give
away to promote their affiliate link, you can include a page in
the report promoting YOUR list!  You effectively get free
subscribers from their effort.

7. MONETIZE FOR MULTIPLE STREAMS.

As your own list continues to grow, you certainly want to
diversify in your offerings.  (Not to the point of bombarding
your list with offers every day of course!)

* Promote other affiliate programs.
* Create your own products.
(Even short $10 reports will earn profit!)
* Establish joint ventures.
* Co-author products.
* Cross promote.
* Conduct surveys.

There are MANY ways to make money from you list and keep your
list growing, growing, growing!

Remember, it all comes down to:  starting, sustaining and
strengthening relationships with subscribers.

And that’s how you make a fortune as an affiliate promoting
other people’s products.

Internet Marketing for Real

June 17, 2009 // Posted in Blog (Tags: , ) |  No Comments

Many people think that they are going to get rich overnight with internet marketing. There is so much hype and BS that tells you that if you do this and that you are going to make a gazillion amount of money, that sometimes people really expect that and become very disappointed when it is not so.

Internet marketing, like any other business, requires an education. It is impossible to acquire that overnight no matter what you do. You have to put in your time, make mistakes, create products, sell products, make squeeze pages, makes sales pages, do what everyone learns how to do to sell effectively. That takes time. You can have the best product in the whole world and you still have to put in your time to learn the ropes.

There are many different things to learn to become good in internet marketing. Follow someone that knows what they are doing and imitate them. See what they do and how they do it, and you will pick up knowledge and experience as you go. If you just go at it blindly you will probably end up wasting a lot of money and time and not get anywhere.

If you’re going to get discouraged because you’re not making money soon enough, then internet marketing is not for you. You have to have a goal, and know that you are building a business. Then when you have put in some time and effort, your dedication will pay off and you will be able to do and think in ways that you were unable to before. See, with time you will become a real internet marketer if you are dedicated, not an overnight junkie. And you will know it when you get there.

The people that I admire the most in internet marketing are very simple people and they all say the same thing. It is not the hype and the hot products that are going to make you rich. It is not something that anyone can do for you. It is in continuing to put in your time and effort one day at a time, and learning as you go. With every squeeze page, with every article, with every ad, with every salespage, you are exercising your muscles at becoming an internet marketer.

Jimmy D. Brown is a real internet marketer’s marketer, and I learn a great deal from him. He teaches in very simple terms. Click here for a free ebook from Jimmy D. Brown.
